Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Stores Controller for 2nd Shift in Lafayette, Indiana. The role includes ordering parts for assembly, moving materials using a stand-up forklift, and ensuring inventory accuracy.

Responsibilities also cover inputting orders into our systems and coordinating interplant material movement. The position offers comprehensive benefits, overtime potential, and a climate-controlled environment to support safe, efficient production.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 2 years of stand-up forklift experience.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Self-motivated, safety-conscious and able to work independently.

Location and Shift

• Lafayette, Indiana
• 2nd Shift: 2:30pm-10:30pm

Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Ordering parts for assembly operations
• Moving material to the assembly line via stand-up fork truck
• Maintaining inventory accuracy on production parts
• Utilizing computer system to input parts orders and move interplant material

Basic Qualifications

• Must have at least 2 years of stand-up fork truck experience
• Must have good written and oral communication skills
• Self-motivated, safety-conscious individual capable of working independently
• Basic computer skills

Top Candidates will also

• Be flexible to work overtime as needed to support production demands
• Possess and show strong interpersonal skills and apply customer-based focus

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 40 lbs
• Must be able to bend and twist at the waist and be able to squat
• Stand on concrete for 8+ hours
• Consistent usage of required PPE for task being performed

• Position available is on 2nd Shift (2:30pm-10:30pm)

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay Range: $23.33 - $30.33
