The Stores Clerk supports hospital operations by receiving, organizing, tracking, and delivering inventory and non-inventory supplies throughout Rome Health and its offsite locations. This position maintains accurate inventory counts and supply levels, processes incoming and outgoing shipments and mail, and uses computerized inventory systems and handheld scanners. The Stores Clerk works collaboratively with hospital departments and vendors to ensure supplies are delivered accurately, safely, and on time.
Regularly requires lifting and carrying items weighing 50 pounds or more; pushing and pulling carts and equipment; reaching above shoulder level; bending, squatting, kneeling, and repetitive movements. The position requires prolonged sitting, standing, and walking; manual dexterity to operate computers, scanners, and material-handling equipment; and close visual attention to verify labels, quantities, and inventory records. Must be able to safely operate a motor vehicle, pallet jack, tow motor, hand cart, and related equipment. Essential functions must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.
