Job summary

Ardagh Glass Ltd. is seeking a detail-oriented Storeroom Clerk to supervise spare parts and process supplies inventory for a 24/7 high-speed manufacturing facility in Olive Branch, MS. This role emphasizes accuracy, 5S organization, and timely procurement to support production.

You will operate SAP for purchasing, manage vendor relationships, and coordinate with maintenance and accounting to ensure proper recordkeeping and access to materials when needed.

Qualifications

• Must be organized, self-directed and able to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• High school diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Manage storeroom production and process parts inventories and ensure 5S and organization.
• Purchase and inventory process in SAP to optimize inventory levels and minimize carrying costs.
• Coordinate with maintenance for daily maintenance planning and preventive maintenance days.
• Supervise storeroom processes including vendor relations and vendor-managed inventories.
• Interact with hourly and salaried production, maintenance, HR and accounting staff; serve internal and external customers.
• Manage vendor relationships including janitorial and landscape services vendors.
• Source materials and supplies to meet plant demand for value, quality and speed of delivery.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records of spare parts, materials and services purchased.
• Work with plant and corporate accounting to ensure proper purchasing procedures and recordkeeping.
• Receive all parts and supplies and move them to proper storage locations.
• Communicate with internal customers to understand needs related to parts and supplies.

The Storeroom Clerk supervises and manages the storeroom spare parts and process supplies inventory to determine levels while maintaining > 98% accuracy.

Key Accountabilities:

• Management of all storeroom production and process parts supplies and materials inventories, 5S of storeroom and spare parts inventory. Understand and use 5S and Model Storeroom principles to organize and maintain Storeroom and Storeroom offices.


• Purchasing and inventory process in SAP for all production and production support materials. Utilize the SAP system to ensure optimal use of inventory levels and minimize carrying costs.


• Coordinate with maintenance department for planning of daily maintenance procedures preventative maintenance and maintenance days.


• Supervising storeroom processes to include vendor relations service coordination and vendor managed inventories.


• Interact effectively with hourly and salaried production maintenance, HR and accounting employees. Internal customers include all production personnel, maintenance personnel and plant accounting financial. External customers include all Ardagh customers and vendors.


• Manages vendor relationships to include but not limited to janitorial services, employees and landscape services employees.


• Sources materials parts and supplies to meet plant demand for value quality and or speed of delivery.


• Maintain accurate purchasing records of spare parts, process materials and services purchased.


• Works closely with plant and corporate accounting departments to ensure recordkeeping is accurate and proper purchasing procedures are followed.


• Responsible for receiving all parts and supplies.


• Physically moves and places parts and supplies from receiving point to proper bin rack or other storage locations.


• Communicate with internal customers to understand their needs related to parts supplies purchasing.

Knowledge / Skills / Experience:

• Must be organized, self-directed and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and demands to meet the needs of a 24/7 high speed manufacturing facility.


• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.


• HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA REQUIRED.

Key Job Competencies / Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.


• Follow proper accounting procedures for purchasing and inventory control while maintaining accurate records for auditing purposes.
