Position: Storeroom Attendant Night Shift
Reports to: Maintenance Department Manager
Position Description:

The objective of this individual is to uphold the integrity of manufacturing and facility equipment while maintaining a professional environment within the department. Our goals are to improve product output and quality to maintain a competitive edge in the paperboard packaging industry through a safe and skilled approach.

Primary Responsibilities:
Administrative
  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent, with a sufficient driving record and adequate computer skills.
  • Work with Maintenance to maintain accurate records for equipment.
  • Enter all supplier and spare part data into the CMMS.
  • Coordinate with OEMs and suppliers for repair parts and supplies.
  • Process deliveries, match with work orders, and manage items in the kitting room.
Departmental
  • Responsible for purchasing or buying the majority of production and maintenance supplies.
  • Establish and maintain minimum and maximum inventory levels for each item.
  • Familiar with multi-craft processes, equipment, and supplies.
  • Coordinate with Maintenance to prepare materials for equipment P.M.s.
  • Assist production employees with storeroom needs.
  • Create inventory bins for items.
  • Perform random cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy.
  • Travel to suppliers as needed.
  • Communicate professionally with all company classifications to promote a good team environment.
  • Be available to support all in-house customers.
  • Communicate shift exchange information effectively with day shift.
Education / Experience:

A high school diploma or GED is preferred but not required. Computer skills and mechanical aptitude are desired.

Communication Skills / Requirements:

Must effectively communicate verbally and in writing with management, peers, and other employees. Active listening skills, attention to detail, follow-through, tact, professionalism, teamwork, flexibility, organization, and a positive attitude are essential.

Safety:

All duties must be performed in compliance with company guidelines and safety policies.

PPE: Must wear hearing protection and safety glasses in all areas. Use only safety knives with cut-proof gloves.
