Job Summary
Storeroom Attendant is an individual contributor positioned within a customer's location to fulfill daily receiving, stocking, issuing, and cycle counting of customer and/or Vallen inventory. They are responsible for maintaining a professional, clean, and organized work environment.
Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent coupled with 3+ months relevant experience and/or training.
- Experience in loading, unloading, picking, packing, or moving goods in a warehouse environment; forklift/cherry picker experience preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, work orders, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Basic computer skills and technical aptitude; preferred skills include MS-Office, Vista, Control, SX.e, Prophet 21.
- Basic mathematical skills and ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a team and be self-motivated.
- Attention to detail and safety-mindedness.
- Physical ability to handle inventory, lift up to 25 lbs or more with assistance, and perform tasks requiring standing, walking, kneeling, bending, crouching, crawling, climbing, and balancing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Unloads, receives, and stores incoming products, checking for damage and discrepancies.
- Sorts, labels, moves, and stores items efficiently.
- Issues products and maintains accurate records of inventory transactions.
- Enters data into computerized systems to maintain stock records and responds to inquiries.
- Replenishes inventory as needed and performs cycle counts.
- Inspects tools and equipment for defects; reports damages.
- Maintains inventory records and delivers tools or equipment.
- Locates lost or misplaced items and performs repairs or maintenance as required.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
