Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred; equivalent work experience will be considered.
  • Basic computer proficiency required, including data entry, inventory systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to learn and navigate customer and company inventory management databases.

Experience Requirements

  • Previous inventory control, warehouse, storeroom, materials management, receiving, or supply chain experience required.
  • Experience creating requisitions, purchase orders, and managing inventory replenishment processes.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate inventory counts and records.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills and ability to support employees in a fast-paced industrial environment.
  • Reliable, punctual, and dependable with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with warehouse management systems, inventory databases, ERP platforms, or procurement software.
  • Mechanical aptitude or basic tool and equipment knowledge preferred.
  • Familiarity with cycle counting, inventory audits, stock replenishment, and receiving processes.
  • Experience loading, unloading, picking, packing, and organizing materials in a warehouse setting.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Physical Capabilities

  • Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted on occasion.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and perform physical inventory tasks throughout the shift.
  • Comfortable working in a warehouse environment that may become hot during summer months and is not climate controlled.
  • Must wear steel toe shoes and comply with facility dress code and safety requirements.
  • Ability to safely load and unload vending machines, inventory, tools, and supplies.

Job Duties

  • Manage inventory levels by creating orders, requisitions, and purchase orders through Vallen and customer inventory systems.
  • Receive, unload, inspect, stock, label, and organize incoming inventory while maintaining accurate records and inventory counts.
  • Perform cycle counts, inventory audits, stock replenishment, and inventory tracking to ensure material availability.
  • Load and restock industrial vending machines, issue supplies to customers, and provide outstanding customer service support.
  • Complete 5S activities, including cleaning, sorting, organizing, and maintaining a safe, professional storeroom environment while assisting with receiving and other warehouse duties as needed.
