Job summary

VEKA Inc. is seeking a dependable Storeroom Attendant to manage inventory records for supplies, tools, and equipment at our Pennsylvania facility. You will maintain stock levels, process requisitions, and ensure accurate receiving and issue of materials on the floor.

The role requires hands-on warehouse experience, basic SAP/Excel skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Day-to-day duties include cycle counts, labeling, and coordinating with maintenance during shutdowns.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• SAP and Excel experience a plus.
• Strong accuracy and attention to detail mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory records for supplies, tools and equipment.
• Locate and distribute parts from authorized signed requisitions.
• Update records for received and dispensed supplies and materials.
• Perform cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies.
• Label and organize shelf-life items and issue using LIFO method.
• Assist in transfers of storeroom items to sister facilities.
• Keep storeroom clean and orderly.
• Coordinate with maintenance during plant shutdowns.

Job description

The Storeroom Attendant will maintain the inventory records of supplies, tools, and equipment and will maintain required quantities of stock.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Locate and distribute parts from authorized signed requisitions.
• Maintain location database.
• Update records to record supplies and materials received and dispensed.
• If parts are unavailable help with substitution.
• Run and review received report for accuracy.
• Orders materials needed to restock storeroom and maintain minimum inventory levels.
• Write up replenishment requisitions for consignments, repairs, etc.
• Conduct cycle counts.
• Label and locate daily receipts of incoming goods.
• Date and label shelf-life items and issue using LIFO method.
• Assist in sister facility transfers of storeroom items.
• Ensures the storeroom is kept clean and orderly.
• Create plant requested labels.
• Work along with maintenance during plant shutdowns.

Skills:

• Certification to operate Bendi narrow isle reach truck.
• Accuracy.
• Proficient computer skills with the ability to update and maintain computer inventory records.
• Ability to read and prepare packing slips and labels.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to interact with customers and identify their needs and preferences.
• Ability to obtain/maintain Reach Truck Operators License.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• SAP and Excel experience a plus.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to move objects up to 50 pounds
• Ability to ascending or descending ladders and stairs
