Job summary

Excel Group in United States, Texas, Freeport is seeking a warehouse associate to receive, inspect, and process materials for production. You will maintain accurate records and help maintain a safe, organized storeroom.

This role requires 1-2 years of warehouse experience, basic computer skills, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly; forklift experience is a plus. Rotating shifts and varying temperatures are expected.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1–2 years of warehouse experience required.
• Inventory, data entry and computer skills required.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Regularly lift 10–50 lbs; occasionally up to 100 lbs.
• Stand, stoop, kneel or crouch for extended periods.
• Work rotating shifts and in varying temperatures.

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Receive and inspect incoming materials, parts, and supplies.
• Verify quantities received against purchase orders and packing slips.
• Properly label and store items in designated locations within the storeroom.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using computerized systems or manual logs.
• Process requisitions and distribute materials to production or maintenance departments as per requests.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and periodic physical inventories to reconcile discrepancies.
• Follow established procedures for inventory control, including identifying slow-moving or obsolete items.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies for handling hazardous materials or equipment.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the storeroom and associated storage areas.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1-2 yrs. of previous warehouse house experience required.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Inventory, data entry, and computer skills required.
• Must be able to regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50lbs and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 lbs.
• Must be able to stand for periods of time as well as stoop, kneel, or crouch.
• Must be able to work in varying temperatures, depending upon season.
• Good communication, organizational, and time management skills are required.
• Must be dependable and reliable.
• Must be able to work rotating shifts.
