City of San Diego is seeking a Storekeeper I to manage inventory within a stockroom/warehouse environment. Responsibilities include ordering, receiving, storing, and issuing materials, maintaining records, and assisting with an computerized inventory system.
The role involves supervising staff, training subordinates, and performing site inspections for water leaks and contaminants. A valid California driver license may be required at hire.

Storekeeper I positions order, receive, store, and issue or release various materials, records, and supplies; perform inventory control and assist in the development and maintenance of a computerized inventory system; function as a liaison with vendors to resolve problems with items received or vendor payment; assist with keeping store's cost allocations and preparing budget estimates; prepare reports; supervise adherence to safety rules and regulations pertaining to storeroom procedures, equipment, and handling of hazardous materials; train and supervise the work of subordinates; conduct site inspection for water leaks, mold, vermin, and other contaminates; and perform other duties as assigned.
One year of full-time inventory control experience in which your PRIMARY responsibility was receiving, storing, and issuing or releasing equipment, materials, records, and supplies from a stockroom and/or warehouse facility.
A valid California Class C Driver License may be required at the time of hire.
