Responsibilities

  • Accurately pick and pack material manually up to 50 lbs; use lift trucks for heavier items.
  • Unload material, inspect for damage, count and store in correct bin locations.
  • Perform inventory counts and resolve discrepancies.
  • Use RF handheld or paper pick lists to locate material; perform basic computer tasks.
  • Print and apply shipping labels.
  • Support health, safety, quality and lean initiatives; perform other duties as assigned.
  • Maintain Receipt Inspector qualification per ANSI 45.2.6.

Job Summary/Purpose:

Receive, pick, pack and ship material from distribution warehouse. Utilize powered industrial lift trucks and electric pallet jacks. Perform housekeeping as part of job function.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Accurately pick and pack material manually of up to 50 lbs. Utilize powered industrial lift trucks and electric pallet jacks for heavier material. Process material returned from the field.
  • Unload material, inspect for damage and accurately count to complete receiving process then put away in proper bin location.
  • Perform accurate inventory counts and problem solve to reconcile inventory differences.
  • Utilize RF handheld equipment or paper pick list to accurately locate and pull required material. Perform basic computer functions (entry, lookup, etc.).
  • Print and apply appropriate shipping labels.
  • Participates, supports and complies with all Health, Safety, Quality and lean initiatives and requirements. Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned by Supervisor/Management.
  • Will be required to become and maintainReceipt Inspector Qualifiedin accordance withANSI 45.2.6

Minimum experience required of the position:

2-3 years stores experience or related work experience.

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position:

Must be able to manually lift 50lbs and operate powered industrial lift truck and/or electric pallet jacks. Demonstrate some knowledge of stores concepts and methods. Familiar with nomenclature of electrical materials. Able to perform mathematical calculations. Some problem solving ability to resolve material inaccuracies. Ability to adhere to written Procedures and Policies.

Any certificates, licenses, etc. required for the position:

Certification to operate powered industrial truck.

Required to become Receipt Inspector Qualified in accordance withANSI 45.2.6
