Job summary

Strategic Storage Partners, LLC is seeking a Storekeeper B to handle receiving, issuing, and shipping of materials, plus inventory control in a warehouse. Duties include operating equipment, escorting vendors, and maintaining packaging for hazardous materials in compliance with CFR 49.

Requires a HS diploma and 2 years in shipping/receiving with real-time inventory systems. Candidates must hold a valid driver's license and be certified to operate a range of material handling equipment.

Responsibilities

• Input to SAP for Receiving, Issuing, and Shipping of materials.
• Perform storekeeping duties: receiving, storing, issuing, ordering, posting, filing, and inventory recording.
• Operate material handling equipment, load/unload trucks, and assist in basic warehousing.
• Escort vendors and support packaging of hazardous materials per CFR 49.
• Assist with preventive maintenance of equipment and tools.

Job description

Under general direction performs input to SAP computer system in Receiving, Issuing, and Shipping of materials through intra site transfers, the receipt of fuels, and the Fixed Asset Accounting function, vendor repair facilities and other government agencies.Under general direction performs various physical duties as assigned in keeping with Storekeeper B functions as: receiving, storing, issuing, ordering, posting, filing, inventory and recording in a production type parts storage area.Under general direction operate material handling type equipment that will move or raise parts and material to accomplish storekeeping functions such as loading and unloading trucks and basic warehousing.Escorts vendors as necessary completes other related duties to ensure attainment of overall job objective and completes other assignments and special projects to support company goals.Under general direction performs preventive user maintenance to upkeep equipment, tools, and hardware.Under general direction prepares packaging for transportation of hazardous materials in accordance with CFR 49.

Qualifications:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of two years experience in a shipping and receiving warehouse type environment. and have the technical skills to operate a real time, computer-based inventory control system.CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES Must have and maintain a valid drivers license and be certified as a qualified operator of a wide variety of material handling equipment.
