They are responsible for ensuring fast, friendly customer service, helping customers navigate the wide range of products, and impacting customer satisfaction, store profitability, and aligning with Academy's Mission.

Education:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Associates or Bachelor's in Criminal Justice preferred (Asset Protection Team Member only).

Work Experiences:

• Previous related work experience preferred.
• Experience operating POS equipment, symbol, and telephone is preferred (Cashier only).
• Experience supporting operations to meet sales targets (Cashier only).
• 4+ years of outdoor hobbies and skills; fishing and hunting experience preferred (Outdoor Enthusiast only).
• CPR and First Responder certification is a plus (Asset Protection Team Member only).
• Loss Prevention or Criminal Justice background is a plus (Asset Protection Team Member only).

Skills:

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to connect and build rapport with customers; bilingual skills are a plus.
• Effective problem-solving and communication skills.
• Organizational skills to handle multiple tasks.
• Ability to read and follow safety and operational documents.
• Proficiency with basic math and understanding instructions.
• Operate POS systems and related equipment (Cashier only).
• Write routine reports and correspondence (Cashier only).
• Knowledge of inventory software (Cashier only).
• Passion for outdoor hobbies and skills (Outdoor Enthusiast only).
• Meet federal and state requirements for firearm transactions (Fishing and Hunting Sales Team Member only).
• Must qualify for FOID card (Illinois only) (Fishing and Hunting Sales Team Member only).
• Use of basic hand tools and cleaning equipment.
• Provide friendly, prompt customer service.
• Knowledge of emergency procedures.
• Situational awareness skills.

• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
