Education:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Associates or Bachelor's in Criminal Justice preferred (for Asset Protection Team Member only).

Work Experiences:

• Previous related work experience preferred.
• Experience operating POS equipment, symbol, and telephone preferred (Cashier only).
• Support of people and processes to drive operational excellence and meet sales targets (Cashier only).
• At least 4 years of personal experience with outdoor hobbies, interests, and skills; fishing and hunting experience preferred (Outdoor Enthusiast only).
• CPR and First Responder certification is a plus (Asset Protection Team Member only).
• Loss Prevention or Criminal Justice background is a plus (Asset Protection Team Member only).

Skills:

• Excellent customer service orientation.
• Ability to connect, build rapport, and engage with customers, especially those interested in sports and outdoor pursuits; bilingual skills are a plus.
• Effective problem solving and communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow safety rules, operation manuals, and procedures.
• Proficiency with basic math and applying instructions in various formats.
• Operate and instruct others on POS equipment, symbol, and telephone (Cashier only).
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence (Cashier only).
• Knowledge of inventory software and order processing systems (Cashier only).
• Passionate about outdoor hobbies such as fishing, hunting, shooting, and camping (Outdoor Enthusiast only).
• Must meet federal and state requirements for firearms transactions (Fishing and Hunting Sales Team Member only).
• Must qualify for and maintain FOID card (Illinois only) (Fishing and Hunting Sales Team Member only).
• Proficiency with basic hand tools and equipment.
• Provide prompt, friendly customer service.
• Knowledge of emergency response procedures.
• Strong situational awareness and observation skills.

Physical Requirements & Attendance:

• Flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Good hearing and vision to perform duties.
• Adherence to work hours, policies, and rules.
• Ability to walk, reach, talk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, push, and pull as needed.
• Lift up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 60 pounds occasionally.
• Stand, handle, and perform repetitive motions regularly.
• Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception, and focus adjustment.
