Qualifications

• 4+ years of outdoor hobbies; fishing and hunting experience preferred for Outdoor Enthusiast.

Education:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Associates or Bachelor's in Criminal Justice preferred (Asset Protection Team Member only).

Work Experience:

• Previous related work experience preferred.
• Operating POS equipment, symbol, and telephone preferred (Cashier only).
• In-direct support of people and processes to drive operational excellence and sales targets (Cashier only).
• 4+ years of outdoor hobbies, interests, and skills; fishing and hunting experience preferred (Outdoor Enthusiast only).
• CPR and First Responder certification is a plus (Asset Protection Team Member only).
• Loss Prevention or Criminal Justice background is a plus (Asset Protection Team Member only).

Skills:

• Excellent customer service orientation.
• Ability to connect, build rapport, and engage with customers, especially those interested in sports and outdoor pursuits; bilingual is a plus.
• Effective problem solving and communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks with organization and attention to detail.
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow safety rules, instructions, and manuals.
• Proficiency in basic math and understanding instructions in various formats.
• Operate and instruct others on POS equipment, symbol, and telephone (Cashier only).
• Write routine reports and correspondence (Cashier only).
• Knowledge of inventory software and order processing systems (Cashier only).
• Passionate about outdoor hobbies like fishing, hunting, shooting, and camping (Outdoor Enthusiast only).
• Meet federal and state requirements for firearm transactions (Fishing and Hunting Sales Team Member only).
• Qualify for and maintain FOID card (Illinois only, Fishing and Hunting Sales Team Member only).
• Use basic hand tools and equipment for receiving and cleaning.
• Provide prompt, friendly service to customers and team members.
• Follow emergency response procedures.
• Maintain strong situational awareness and observation skills.

Physical Requirements & Attendance:

• Flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Good hearing and vision to perform duties.
• Adherence to work hours, policies, and rules.
• Regular walking, reaching, talking; occasional sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, pushing, and pulling.
• Lift up to 10 pounds constantly and up to 60 pounds occasionally.
• Stand, handle, and use fingers frequently; specific vision abilities required.
