Job summary

XL Parts and The Parts House, a Marubeni Group, seeks a Warehouse Associate in Miami to read orders, move goods, and prepare shipments. You will handle receiving, storage, and picking, ensuring accuracy in order fulfillment and proper labeling.

This role involves loading/unloading, operating a computer to enter records, and lifting up to 50 lbs in a fast-paced environment. Monday–Friday, 40 hours with possible overtime; reliable transportation is required. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required.
• 1-3 years warehouse experience preferred.
• Good to above-average computer skills and basic logistics knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Reads customer orders to determine items to move, gather or distribute.
• Conveys materials from receiving areas to storage or other designated areas.
• Sorts and places materials on racks or shelves by predetermined sequence.
• Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders in pallets or shelving; coordinates shipping.
• Marks materials with identifying information and opens containers as needed.
• Records amounts of materials received or distributed.
• Weighs or counts items for distribution to ensure conformance to standards.
• Uses computer to enter records and prepare parcels for mailing/shipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job description

• Reads customer’s order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.


• Conveys materials and items from receiving areas to storage to other designated areas.


• Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.


• Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders in pallets or shelves or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department.


• Marks materials with identifying information. Open boxes, crates, and other containers.


• Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed.


• Weighs or counts items for distribution within the warehouse to ensure conformance to company standards.


• Uses computer to enter records.


• Prepares parcels for mailing and shipment via common carrier.


• Other duties may be assigned by the supervisor.

Required Qualifications:

• Good to above-average computer skills


• Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures preferred


• Reliable transportation


• High school Diploma


• Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week. Some overtime may be required

Preferred Qualification:

• 0 to 3 years working in a warehouse

Physical Demands:

Typical 9-hour day to include walking, squatting, and lifting. To perform the duties of this job the employee must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment. Heavy lifting of 50lbs or more may be required.
