QuickChek Corp. in Dayton, New Jersey is seeking a Store Shift Manager to run the store during the Store Manager's absence, delivering fast, friendly service and upholding Total Customer Dedication. You will coach staff, delegate duties, and ensure a welcoming experience for every customer.

You will cross-train across deli, café, bakery, and cashier roles and follow the playbook to prepare food, handle transactions, and maintain safety, cleanliness, and cost controls throughout the shift.

OVERVIEW

As a Store Shift Manager, your primary goal is to ensure the seamless operation of the premises during the Store Manager's absence. You play a crucial role in guaranteeing that customers experience excellence during their visit to our store. In this capacity, you'll lead by example, motivating, delegating duties, and training our team members to uphold our commitment to Total Customer Dedication.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create a top-notch customer experience by delivering fast, friendly, and helpful service while keeping fresh food stocked, high-quality, and ready to enjoy.
• Keep the store moving by cross-training across deli, caf�, bakery, and cashier rolesjump in wherever the team needs you to keep operations running smoothly.
• Follow the playbook by preparing food, handling transactions, and completing tasks accurately while following safety, sanitation, cash, and loss prevention standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized storeinside, outside, and behind the scenesso everything runs efficiently and looks great for customers.
• Support the team and the business by staying informed on policies, helping the team hit daily goals, communicating with leadership, and contributing to sales and operational success.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Demonstrated ability to lead, support, and communicate effectively with team members in a fast-paced retail or food service environment.
• Strong customer-first mindset supported by positive attitude and interpersonal skills.
• Proven reliability and accountability with consistent attendance.
• Solid problem-solving ability with attention to detail, plus basic computer, math, and analytical skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to learn quickly, complete training, and consistently align with company values.
• Prior shift leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
