Job summary

Wegmans Food Markets is hiring an in-store shopper in Abingdon, MD to support curbside pickup and fast, accurate order fulfillment. This part-time role involves using a shopper app to fulfill orders, stage them for pickup, and ensure items are bagged and ready for customers.

You will work in a fast-paced environment, communicate effectively with customers, and may assist with a register. Morning shifts, including weekends, are required. Must be 18 years or older.

As an in-store shopper, you will utilize the latest technology to engage with customers through an app, shopping their orders and staging them for pickup. What You’ll Do

• Utilize technology to communicate with and fulfill customer orders
• Accurately and efficiently fulfill customer orders and stage them in fulfillment area
• Properly handle all product, including properly bagging items to reach the customer
• Make appropriate substitutions as needed and process payments
• Maintain a clean, organized and well-stocked workspace
• May be expected to carry out other customer service duties within the store, as needed, including running a register

Requirements

• Customer service experience, preferably in a food service, grocery or retail setting
• Ability to use a company-issued device to manage orders and communicate with customers
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently
