Position Overview: As a Security Coordinator at a Wegmans store location, you will be responsible for providing a safe and secure store environment for customers and employees. Coordinators are the liaison between the Wegmans Asset Protection team, company leaders, and store employees. This role requires a self-motivated, independent individual who is task-oriented, highly visible, and committed to excellent customer service.

Responsibilities include:

• Focusing on people safety and executing safety programs
• Partnering with management to implement asset protection strategies
• Collaborating with community organizations and emergency responders
• Discreetly observing and preventing theft
• Managing security systems and responding to emergencies
• Conducting investigations and surveillances under guidance

Minimum Education Required: High School/GED

Required Qualifications:

• Police Officer/Deputy/Trooper experience or US Military Law Enforcement/Special Operations experience
• Problem-solving and conflict management skills
• Good judgment and decision-making abilities
• Effective communication and composure in stressful situations
• Proficiency with MS Office
• Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice or related field
• Military, Security, Loss Prevention, or Asset Protection experience
• Emergency Medical Services or First Responder experience
• Retail management or leadership experience
