Job summary

You will apply basic knowledge of product handling, operate sanitation equipment, and document chemical handling; communicate needs to Store Leaders. HS diploma or GED required; 1+ years in maintenance/sanitation; OSHA guidelines knowledge; ability to work evenings/night shifts.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED or equivalent required.
• Annual Food Handler certification preferred.
• Basic knowledge of HAZMAT / chemical safety certifications - upon hire.
• Knowledge of OSHA guidelines.
• Strong communication and time-management skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Maintain department cleanliness and safety with urgency and prioritization.
• Deep clean and disinfect processing areas, equipment, fixtures, coolers, floors, and drains.
• Document chemical handling and sanitation verification.
• Use cleaning tools and the H-E-B chemical program correctly.
• Organize and maintain stock in maintenance room.
• Apply knowledge of product handling and food preparation processes.
• Identify insect or rodent types and place pest control traps.
• Ensure food safety and sanitation by following SOPs.
• Assist customers and support store leadership as needed.
