Job summary

Kroger Family of Companies in Wisconsin is hiring a Maintenance/ Cleaning Associate to maintain safe, sanitary store conditions and support customer service while adhering to health department regulations.

You will perform cleaning tasks, operate equipment, manage spillages, assist with snow removal, and support store operations, following Kroger's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service and communicate effectively with store associates.
• Practice safe food handling procedures.
• Utilize and operate equipment to clean and maintain floor conditions throughout the store.
• Clean public rest rooms; fill towel, tissue and soap dispensers; dispose of trash.
• Clean walls, vents and ceilings; exterminate rodents and insects; dismantle, clean and reassemble refrigerated cases.
• Move equipment and non-stationary displays to facilitate cleaning.
• Replace light bulbs and fluorescent tubes.
• Clean and maintain cleaning and sanitation supplies in departments.
• Shampoo and vacuum mats and rugs; follow after hand scrubber and trail mops.
• Mix cleansers and sanitizers properly for best results and safety.
• Spread ice melt and shovel snow from front entrance and sidewalks as needed.
• Perform minor maintenance on equipment when needed.
• Ability to work cooperatively in high paced and sometimes stressful environment.
• Ability to manage conflict in a nonconfrontational and cooperative manner.
• Ability to act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Ability to follow directions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve issues.
• Provide support and assistance through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and/or older adults.
