Job summary

Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a sanitation associate to maintain cleanliness across the distribution center per established guidelines. You will model the company values of safety, respect, integrity, and inclusion while performing a range of sanitation tasks.

Responsibilities include floor cleaning, debris removal, equipment operation, and maintaining office areas. Must be 18+, able to work weekends, and tolerate overtime. This is an on-site role with a focus on efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications

• High school education or GED plus one month related experience or training or equivalent combination.
• Ability to read simple words and recognize word/number patterns; write simple correspondence.
• Basic arithmetic using US units of weight, volume and distance.
• Follow simple written or oral instructions.
• Solve problems with a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must move with urgency and purpose.
• Weekend work availability.
• Occasional overtime.
• Shift flexibility.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Hand sweep and mop all floor areas.
• Pick up plastic, slip sheets and debris using electric tuggers.
• Dump garbage cans.
• Operate garbage and cardboard compactors and cleaners.
• Hand sweep and mop all racking areas.
• Maintain office areas.
• Strip and wax flooring with buffers.
• Clean carpet.
• Must be able to perform essential functions with/without accommodation.
