Responsibilities

• Processing freight
• Assisting with price changes/markdowns
• Balances register according to company policy
• Calls out prices for customers when ringing transactions
• Bags merchandise efficiently when completing a transaction
• Handles cash, checks and credit cards correctly and by company policy
• Obtains management approval for returns, voids and checks as needed
• Performs maintenance and housekeeping duties as assigned
• Provides customer service: greeting customers, adhering to fitting room policies, ringing customers in promptly, and inviting them to return
• Follows all safety procedures
• Maintains a professional, neat appearance, including wearing a name tag
• Assists management in merchandising the sales floor according to stock levels
• Supports management with tasks per company policy
• Explains exchange/refund policies to customers after transactions
• Assists Store Manager with Loss Prevention procedures, including preventing shoplifting and cash losses, reporting incidents of theft or dishonesty, and following current operational policies
