Job summary

The Pittsburgh Paints Company in Loves Park, IL is seeking a Store Sales Associate to deliver an exceptional customer experience in a fast-paced retail environment. You will support retail and contractor customers with product recommendations, color matching, order support, and service.

Reporting to the Store Manager, you will help drive sales while keeping the store clean, organized, and customer-focused. Availability to work typical store hours is expected.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license required, must pass all background items and physical
• Customer service experience preferred with a team-focused approach
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with customers in a professional manner
• Ability to use a computer and keyboard for order processing and customer support
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds occasionally and 40–60 pounds routinely, including standing, lifting, carrying, reaching, stooping, kneeling, and crouching
• Ability to operate a hand truck and/or material handling equipment

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service by understanding customer needs and recommending the right products and solutions

• Resolve customer concerns and escape issues when needed
• Safely handle, load, unload, and organize products for stocking and order fulfillment
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized store environment
• Support daily store operations and team priorities as needed

The Store Sales Associate is a key member of the US Commercial team and plays an important role in delivering an exceptional customer experience in a fast-paced retail environment. This position supports retail and contractor customers by providing product recommendations, color matching, order support, and outstanding service.

Reporting to the Store Manager, the Store Sales Associate helps drive sales success while maintaining a clean, organized, and customer-focused store environment.

The starting pay rate for this role is $18.00- $20.00

This position is scheduled within typical store hours:

• Monday – Friday: 630am – 5pm

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service by understanding customer needs and recommending the right products and solutions
