Citi Trends is looking for a dedicated Store Sales Associate to join our team at one of the largest chains in the value-priced urban apparel industry. We're growing, so if you've ever wanted a chance to lead the way, this is it.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Processing freight
2. Assisting with price changes and markdowns
3. Balancing the register according to company policy
4. Calling out prices for customers when ringing transactions
5. Bags merchandise efficiently upon completing a customer's transaction
6. Handling all cash, checks, and credit cards correctly and in accordance with company policy
7. Obtaining management approval for returns, voids, and checks when needed
8. Performing maintenance and housekeeping duties as assigned
9. Providing proper customer service, including greeting customers, abiding by fitting room policies, ringing up customers in a timely manner, thanking customers, and inviting them to return
10. Following all safety procedures
11. Maintaining a professional, neat appearance, including wearing a name tag
12. Assisting management in merchandising the sales floor according to stock levels
13. Supporting management with tasks as requested per company policy
14. Explaining exchange and refund policies to customers after transactions
15. Assisting the Store Manager with Loss Prevention procedures, including preventing shoplifting and cash losses, reporting incidents of theft or dishonesty, and following all operational policies

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages
