Job Description

Reporting to the Chef Manager, the Store Room Clerk is responsible for managing and cleaning storage areas, maintaining inventory, storing and rotating dry, refrigerated, and frozen items.

Responsibilities and Duties

1. Sweeps and mops floors and walk-in refrigerators daily; storerooms and freezers weekly.
2. Uses computer to maintain product pricing, place orders, and track inventory.
3. Manages tube feeding and nutritional supplement levels through weekly inventories and orders.
4. Ensures produce quality and appropriate levels, completes weekly inventories, and communicates with vendors.
5. Maintains refrigerator and freezer temperature logs daily, and develops action plans for temperature issues.
6. Empties trash daily; cleans dumpsters and cans weekly.
7. Keeps storage shelves organized, checks and cleans walls and shelves regularly.
8. Assists with inventory of storage areas, reorders, and stock rotation following FIFO principles.
9. Receives dietary supplies, checks against invoices, reports discrepancies.
10. Gathers food handling supplies for various production areas.

Education

High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Physical ability to lift heavy items.
• Ability to work in extreme temperature conditions.
• Proficient with computers for data entry.
