Minimum Requirements:
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated aptitude to manage people and organize workloads
  • Able to tactfully and calmly handle stressful situations and make a positive impression on associates and customers
  • Understanding of all key components of department operations (i.e., managing people, merchandising, inventory management, shrink control, customer service, labor scheduling, expense control, etc.)
Desired Qualifications:
  • Dependability and integrity reflected in past work record
  • Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to employment practices, OSHA compliance, etc.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Maintain store UPC File (price changes, deletions, new items)
  • Check in and test scan all vendors
  • Maintain weekly ad item in scanning file
  • Perform housekeeping in computer room, including checking and cleaning filters, sweeping and mopping floors, checking battery backup systems, and conducting monthly power fail simulations
  • Copy PLU File twice a week
  • Maintain documentation on all retail accounting
  • Test scan entire store every six to eight weeks
  • Maintain Special Report Files (A.C. Nielson, Sami, Special Item Movement Report)
  • Promote, communicate, and implement company initiatives and process improvements to direct reports positively
  • Perform any other duties as assigned
  • Maintain flexibility to work mornings, afternoons, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
