Job summary

Burlington Stores in New Jersey is seeking a Store Planner to produce Store Planning documents for remodels, manage documentation, and coordinate with internal and external teams to ensure projects stay on schedule.

The role involves developing conceptual plans and construction documents in AutoCAD, overseeing projects from inception to completion, and maintaining data in the company database while adhering to planning standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• 3–5 years Store Planning/Design experience preferred.
• Merchandising/retail experience preferred.
• AutoCAD proficiency required.
• Microsoft Office and project management tools proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop store planning conceptual plans, construction documents, and interior planning documents using AutoCAD with xrefs.
• Make scope decisions based on location requirements and budget; partner with supervisor for non-prototypical situations.
• Ensure all documents comply with planning processes and standards.
• Oversee projects from inception to completion; manage RFIs and change orders as needed.
• Log and maintain store-specific data in the company database.

Job description

Position Overview

The Store Planner is responsible for the production of Store Planning documents to support Burlington's Downsize/Remodel projects as assigned. Complete all documentation, production, communication and quality control on all assigned projects. Partner with internal and external teams to ensure assigned projects are successfully executed as planned. Understands and implements Store Planning processes to maximize department productivity and individual contribution.

A Day In The Life

PROJECT DEVELOPMENT

• Develop and produce Store Planning conceptual plans, construction documents, interior planning documents, demonstrating proficient use of AutoCAD. Experience using xrefs required.
• Make scope of work decisions for each project based on location specific requirements and budget guidelines. Partner with supervisor for non-prototypical situations
• Understand all planning processes & standards. Stay up to date on the latest Prototype, Innovation & Merchandising initiatives and ensure all documents are in compliance

PROJECT ADMINISTRATION

• Oversee each project from inception to completion; Maintain quality control and communication through all phases of the project. Trouble-shoot & respond swiftly to RFIs, and manage change orders as needed. Manage multiple projects at once & prioritize workload effectively
• Log & maintain store specific data in company database to share and preserve company records
• Develop and maintain partnerships, communication and coordination with Burlington's cross-functional departments and outside architects. Communicate changes that may affect production schedules
