Job summary

Town Pump is seeking a motivated Store Clerk to join our team in Billings. You will deliver friendly customer service, handle cash and transactions, stock shelves, price and rotate merchandise, and maintain cleanliness and safety throughout the store.

This role involves operating the cash register, assisting deli operations when needed, and upholding security and loss prevention. Training provided with growth opportunities within Town Pump's expanding network.

Qualifications

• Must provide friendly customer service and operate cash register.
• Experience with cash handling and basic accounting is preferred.
• Ability to stock, rotate, and display merchandise and keep a clean store.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and assist customers with questions.

Town Pump is looking for a motivated and outgoing Store Clerk to join our team. Town Pump is a growing company, with ever-increasing opportunities for career growth.

As a Store Clerk Team Member, You Will

• be accountable for excellent customer service, cash handling and accounting, stocking, pricing, rotating, and displaying merchandise, housekeeping inside and outside of the store, store safety and store security, and deli food sales and cooking.
• Operate computerized cash register, give correct change, scan credit cards, accept and process checks, and bag merchandise.
• remember regular customers’ names and faces, answer and screen phone calls, police the store, detect shoplifters, and listen to and handle customer complaints.
• stock shelves and coolers, complete accurate and effective completion of shift work, clean and maintain all areas of the store, complete vendor check-in procedures, complete the protocol system and “drive off” controls, and advise the store manager of any situations or policy violations having an adverse effect on store operating performance.
• sweep the lot, shovel snow, clean gas pumps, fill water/cleaning solution buckets on islands, and complete any other duties assigned by management.
• keep the hot dog roller, nacho and popcorn machines, condiment center, coffee, and fountain dispenser areas clean, filled, and stocked.
• perform all deli duties in smaller locations as described in the deli job description.
