Job summary

Family Dollar LLC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development at our Kansas location. The role emphasizes assisting with daily functions, organizing merchandise, and ensuring a clean, safe shopping environment.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent and prior store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug stores.

Qualifications

• Requires store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environments.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to train and develop store associates and supervise staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day store activities and functions.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and maintain store operations records.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise and loss prevention activities.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked store and secure assets.
• Ensure compliance with policies, safety guidelines, and procedures.
• Support Store Manager in supervising and developing associates.
• Create a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
