Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Store Manager on Duty to oversee daily store operations and assist the Store Manager in promoting outstanding customer service. You will lead staff, manage schedules, and monitor inventory and expenses to maximize sales and profitability.

Responsibilities include coordinating promotions, training employees, ensuring security and compliance, and handling customer inquiries. The role requires retail experience and strong communication skills in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of Eagle Browser preferred.
• Experience working in different store departments preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of operating a POS system preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to obtain and possess valid driver’s license and insurance.
• Proven written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt to rapidly changing work environments.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate sales promotions and merchandise displays.
• Recruit, train, develop, and communicate with staff; assess performance.
• Plan and prepare work schedules for associates.
• Monitor and order merchandise from distribution to replenish stock.
• Ensure compliance with security, sales, and recordkeeping procedures.
• Address and resolve customer complaints or inquiries.
• Open and close the store, including security duties.
• Manage payroll budget and fiscal responsibilities with corporate.
• In the absence of the Store Manager, perform Store Manager duties.
