Job summary

Dollar Tree in Pasadena, TX is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with day-to-day store activities, help customers, organize merchandise, and support the Store Manager in training Store Associates.

This role requires strong communication, reliability, and the ability to lift up to 55 lbs. Part-time position with benefits including Employee Assistance Program, retirement plans, and educational assistance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties as needed.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain promotional store-front fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked store and organized stockroom.
• Protect company assets and ensure cash security.
• Supervise, train and develop Store Associates with a positive, respectful environment.
