Qualifications

• Read, understand, and write the English language at the eighth-grade level.
• Perform arithmetic calculations at the eighth-grade level to make change and complete shift reports.
• Ability to validate identification prior to selling tobacco and/or alcohol as required by regulations.
• Can lift up to 30 pounds and carry cases of milk, soft drinks, beer and juice.
• Ability to remain calm and respond according to policies and procedures in emergencies.
• Tolerate exposure to gasoline fumes and cleaning products; work in temperature variations.
• Prolonged standing and sitting, and general housekeeping duties as needed.
• Must be 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Must be able to work a flexible schedule and communicate with management on store operations.
• Interact with customers in a friendly, professional manner.
• Prepare a shift report at the end of the shift per guidelines.
• Provide the best customer experience and greet customers with a warm, sincere welcome.
• Suggest purchases and promote specials; execute the customer service program at site level.
• Maintain safety and appearance of the store; enforce environment and hazardous material regulations.
• Operate store equipment safely; report accidents, injuries, or incidents promptly.
