Job summary

Foodland Super Market, Ltd is seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Store Office Clerks in Hawaii. This is a part-time hourly role (24+ hours) with evening and weekend availability strongly preferred. On-island candidates only; relocation assistance is not provided.

The essential duties include staffing customer service counters, handling calls, issuing money orders, and cash handling. A comprehensive benefits package is offered, with training provided after hire.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• High school education preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must successfully pass math test.
• Must successfully pass cashier and office clerk training after hire.
• Retail customer service and cash handling experience preferred.
• TB Clearance required.
• Must comply with all company policies and requirements.

Responsibilities

• Staffing our Customer Service Counters and providing services to customers.
• Answering and routing telephone calls.
• Solving problems and issuing money orders.
• Selling postage stamps and bus passes.
• Balancing cash drawers and preparing store deposits.
• Completing necessary paperwork.
• Operate computers and cash register systems; contact departments via store intercoms.

The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

• Staffing our Customer Service Counters and providing many services to our customers, including:
• answering and routing telephone calls,
• solving problems,
• issuing money orders,
• selling convenience items like postage stamps and bus passes
• balancing cash drawers, preparing store deposits, and completing necessary paperwork.

Store Office Clerks work with computers, adding machines, cash register systems, and frequently use the store intercoms to make announcements and to contact various departments. In addition, they must be able to perform all duties of a cashier.
