Minimum Requirements:
- Ability to handle stressful situations
- Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction)
- Effective communication skills

- Second language skills (speaking, reading, and/or writing)
Responsibilities:
- Promote trust and respect among associates
- Create an environment where customers feel welcome, important, and appreciated by answering questions about products within the department and store
- Maintain knowledge of products and suggest items to customers, informing them of specials
- Check product quality, review sell-by dates, and take appropriate actions
- Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise; provide customers with ordered products
- Report discrepancies in product ordering/shipping to the manager
- Display a positive attitude
- Stay updated with current, upcoming, seasonal, and promotional ads
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines
- Maintain proper temperatures in cases and coolers, and keep temperature logs
- Reinforce safety programs, follow safety procedures, and report unsafe conditions
- Inspect equipment and report repairs needed
- Notify management of customer or employee accidents
- Report safety risks, issues, and illegal activities such as theft or fraud
- Perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations
