STORE/NIGHT CLERK (Finance)

Assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals established for the department and monitor all established quality assurance standards. Minimum Requirements:

• Ability to handle stressful situations
• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction)
• Effective communication skills

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Retail experience
• Second language skills (speaking, reading, and/or writing)

Responsibilities:

• Promote trust and respect among associates
• Create an environment where customers feel welcome, important, and appreciated by answering questions about products within the department and store
• Maintain knowledge of products and suggest items to customers, informing them of specials
• Check product quality, review sell-by dates, and take appropriate actions
• Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise; provide customers with ordered products
• Report discrepancies in product ordering/shipping to the manager
• Display a positive attitude
• Stay updated with current, upcoming, seasonal, and promotional ads
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines
• Maintain proper temperatures in cases and coolers, and keep temperature logs
• Reinforce safety programs, follow safety procedures, and report unsafe conditions
• Inspect equipment and report repairs needed
• Notify management of customer or employee accidents
• Report safety risks, issues, and illegal activities such as theft or fraud
