STORE/NIGHT CLERK (Finance)

Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages our customers to return. Assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals established for the department and monitor all established quality assurance standards. Minimum requirements:

• Ability to handle stressful situations
• Basic math skills (counting, addition, and subtraction)
• Effective communication skills

Desired qualifications:

• Retail experience
• Second language skills (speaking, reading, and/or writing)

Responsibilities include:

• Promoting trust and respect among associates
• Creating a welcoming environment for customers by answering questions and making suggestions about products
• Gaining knowledge of products to respond to customer inquiries
• Recommending grocery items and informing customers of specials
• Checking product quality, reviewing sell-by dates, and taking appropriate actions
• Labeling, stocking, and inventory management of department merchandise
• Reporting discrepancies and safety issues
• Maintaining food safety and proper temperatures in cases and coolers
• Practicing safety procedures and reporting unsafe conditions or incidents
• Performing preventive maintenance and notifying management of repairs
• Following all safety and legal guidelines, including reporting accidents and illegal activities
