STORE/NIGHT CLERK (Finance)

Assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals established for the department and monitor all established quality assurance standards. Minimum qualifications:

• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction).
• Effective communication skills.

Desired qualifications:

• Any retail experience.
• Second language (speaking, reading, and/or writing).

Responsibilities include:

• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Create an environment that makes customers feel welcome, important, and appreciated by answering questions about products sold within the department and store.
• Gain and maintain knowledge of products to respond to questions and make suggestions.
• Recommend grocery items and inform customers of specials.
• Check product quality, review sell-by dates, and take appropriate action.
• Label, stock, and inventory merchandise; provide customers with ordered products.
• Report discrepancies, safety risks, and accidents to management.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers.
• Practice safety and preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and reporting issues.
• Report illegal activities, safety risks, and emergencies.
