Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida is seeking a Store Merchandiser to maximize sales by stocking, pricing, and displaying donated and new merchandise in accordance with company standards. You will help create organized, visually appealing displays and maintain signage across the store environment.

Responsibilities include inventory verification, replenishment coordination, and ensuring accurate pricing and shelf labeling while delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced retail

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Prior retail, merchandising, or sales experience preferred.
• Proficiency using smartphones or tablets for reporting, photo submissions, and inventory-related tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
• Ability to lift merchandise weighing up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to travel occasionally between assigned store locations and within an assigned territory.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain clean, organized, and visually appealing displays for donated and new merchandise.
• Ensure aisles, racks, shelves, and displays are neat, safe, and aligned with company visual standards.
• Rotate merchandise regularly to keep the sales floor fresh and appealing.
• Receive and verify inventory shipments and prepare new merchandise for the sales floor.
• Stock shelves from backroom inventory following FIFO standards.
• Monitor inventory levels and sales trends and communicate inventory discrepancies or concerns to the Store Manager.
• Partner with the Store Manager to place replenishment orders as needed.
• Ensure all merchandise is accurately priced, rings correctly at the register, and is supported by clear and accurate shelf tags and signage.
• Identify and remove damaged, outdated, or unsellable merchandise.
• Maintain a welcoming and friendly shopping environment and assist customers with product inquiries and general store needs.
• Communicate effectively with store staff and management.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
