Responsibilities include:

  1. Learning Walgreens’ operations to lead full store operations across front-end and pharmacy, completing the accelerated development track to Store Manager.
  2. Overseeing store operation under the Store Manager's guidance.
  3. Supporting store operations by shadowing or assisting the Store Manager during the learning journey.

Training & Personal Development:

  • Complete rigorous, accelerated program including all certifications needed for the Store Manager role.
  • Participate in classroom, online, and on-the-job training, including rotations in other stores.
  • Follow development plans and participate in reviews with District and Store Managers.
  • Seek self-development, monitor performance, and learn about retail, pharmacy, and management best practices.
  • Implement compliance SOPs, learn store systems, and obtain necessary pharmacy licensure.

Customer Experience:

  • Engage customers, resolve complaints, and model customer service excellence.
  • Coach team members on customer service, analyze feedback, and improve service metrics.

Operations:

  • Gain experience in supervising store operations, merchandising, inventory management, and loss prevention.
  • Ensure compliance with laws and safety policies.

Business Performance Management:

  • Analyze store performance data, develop action plans, and identify sales opportunities.

Business Planning:

  • Assist in planning to grow front-end and pharmacy business through initiatives and outreach.

People & Performance Management:

  • Learn people management, coaching, and performance evaluation techniques.

Communications:

  • Attend key meetings, practice effective communication, and assist with community events.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree with 3 years retail management or a high school diploma with 5 years retail management experience. Must be fluent in English, willing to work flexible hours, and willing to accept an assignment as Store Manager or transfer locations. PTCB Certification and managerial experience are preferred.
