SUMMARY: As a Store Manager at MAPCO, you will be responsible for all aspects of your store's team and operations. You will drive store profitability, manage inventory, recruit and hire talent, and provide training and development to ensure a customer-focused workforce that delivers a superior guest experience, aligning with our brand promise of "Convenience You Can Trust".

Primary Responsibilities

  1. Manage daily store operations, including hiring, training, developing your team, and driving profitability.
  2. Foster a culture focused on guest needs and providing Convenience You Can TRUST.
  3. Model high energy, friendliness, and professionalism to team members and guests.
  4. Manage P&L and inventory by analyzing sales trends and implementing strategies to increase sales and profitability.
  5. Create an organized, process-oriented environment.
  6. Communicate company objectives clearly to the team, aligning daily operations with strategic goals.
  7. Set expectations, monitor performance, and promote continuous improvement.
  8. Schedule staff effectively to meet guest demand and control labor costs.
  9. Promote a culture of exceptional guest service and operational excellence to uphold MAPCO standards.
  10. Practice disciplined expense management and thorough planning to optimize results.
  11. Forecast business trends and analyze operational metrics related to payroll, loss prevention, and expenses to maximize store performance.

Qualifications

  • Effective communication skills to explain complex issues clearly.

  • Manage work schedules within budget constraints for optimal coverage.
  • Strong business acumen required.
  • Valid driver’s license and satisfactory MVR required.
  • Availability to be on call 24/7.

Education and Experience

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • 1-2 years of retail management experience in a similar environment preferred.

Physical Demands

Regularly required to talk, hear, stand, walk, sit, bend, squat, use hands for typing and operating equipment, and lift up to 40 pounds. Must be available for 50-60 hours per week and on call 24/7.
