Job summary

FirstCash Holdings, Inc. is hiring a Store Manager Trainee for our Cash America Pawn locations. The role is designed for external retail managers seeking fast-tracked advancement into Store Management.

You will lead day-to-day store operations, develop staff, and drive customer satisfaction while working closely with the Store Manager. The position offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work extended periods (standing, walking, lifting).
• Demonstrated ability to supervise others.
• Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
• Flexible retail schedule including weekends/holidays.
• Minimum Age: 18 years old.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Store Manager Trainee will work 45+ hours a week.
• Computer literate and operate POS systems.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Cash handling experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Foster a customer-centric environment by engaging customers professionally and addressing issues.
• Monitor and assist in the training of Pawnbrokers to meet FirstCash standards.
• Recruit top talent through prescribed channels.
• Open and close the store, count cash drawers and merchandise, ensuring asset protection.
• Ensure asset protection via inventory control, safety procedures, and loan documentation.
• Administer processes within the store, including inventory, loans, merchandising, and reporting.
• Evaluate store finances and drive profitability through goals and communication.
• Ensure operating standards meet FirstCash standards.
• Monitor loan qualification and buying processes for value and integrity.
• Complete assigned tasks and training for self-development.
• Communicate clearly with staff about the store’s mission and profit objectives.
• Stay up-to-date on product knowledge.
• Assistant Store Manager acts as manager on duty in absence of Store Manager.
• Other related duties as assigned.
