Overview

Scope of Responsibilities: Oversees the day-to-day operations of the entire store. Responsible for developing personal skills, assisting in training and development of subordinate staff, estimating personnel needs, assigning work, meeting deadlines, and interpreting and applying organizational policies consistently.

Job Summary: Gains knowledge and experience necessary for promotion to Store Manager under the guidance of experienced personnel by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.

Responsibilities
  • Receive training and perform duties across all store departments to familiarize with staff functions, operations, management perspectives, and company policies affecting each business area.
  • Observe experienced workers to learn methods, procedures, and standards for departmental duties.
  • Assist in developing and managing the annual store operating budget, ensuring operations stay within budgetary guidelines.
  • Assist in hiring, developing, evaluating, and disciplining store personnel.
  • Ensure all employees are adequately trained to perform their duties.
  • Assist in duty assignment and staff scheduling to meet payroll and productivity targets.
  • Support efforts to meet or exceed sales goals.
  • Assist in managing store inventory to maximize turnover while maintaining stock for customer needs.
  • Help utilize in-store technology effectively to maximize return on investment and lifespan.
  • Communicate corporate goals to staff through weekly meetings.
  • Ensure outstanding customer service at all times.
  • Ensure adherence to Loss Prevention policies and report deviations.
  • Assist in executing corporate marketing, advertising, and promotional programs.
  • Support collection and management of Accounts Receivable, including Third Party, Compensation, and Kinney House Charge accounts.
  • Ensure proper handling of Kinney warehoused and DSD merchandise.
  • Maintain Standards of Presentation (SOP) and merchandise presentation guidelines timely.
  • Coordinate with auditors, inspectors, vendors, and outside agencies as needed.
  • Assist in maintaining the physical store to ensure safety for customers and employees.
  • Ensure timely submission of reports, cashups, timesheets, and other data to corporate.
  • Participate actively in all required training and management programs.
  • Perform all store clerk duties as needed.
  • Oversee store compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Complete mandatory and regulatory training programs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Limited lifting up to 80 lbs.
  • Successful completion of the Store Manager Training Program.

Education & Experience:

  • Minimum: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Preferred: Associate Degree or higher in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Preferred: 4+ years of experience in Merchandising, Store Management, or related fields.

Special Conditions of Employment:

  • Drug testing.
  • Ongoing exclusion and disciplinary monitoring.
  • Additional eligibility requirements based on the specific role.

Compensation:

$60,500 - $63,500 annually. The final offer will consider skills, experience, and education.
