Responsibilities

Sprouts Store Managers oversee, manage, and maximize the entire business operations of an assigned store and its related departments, including Produce, Bakery, Deli, Meat, Dairy, Frozen Foods, Vitamins, Beer/Wine, Bulk Foods, and others.

The Store Manager is responsible for the efficient and profitable operation of the store, ensuring cleanliness, safety, well-stocked inventory, and compliance with health and safety standards. They are accountable for profits and losses, hiring and terminating staff, disciplinary actions, training and development, inventory management, sales promotion, merchandising, managing staff issues, customer complaints, community relations, and administrative duties.

Qualifications

To qualify as a Store Manager at Sprouts Farmers Market, you must:

• Have 1-3 years of retail management experience.
• Be dependable, reliable, and able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Possess strong communication skills and the ability to give directions and work collaboratively.
• Be outgoing, friendly, and able to engage positively with customers.
• Manage department staff including interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling, and performance appraisals.
• Demonstrate leadership skills to motivate and maintain staff, with knowledge of personnel and financial reports.
• Handle emergencies and problems effectively, including reporting incidents.
• Pay close attention to detail, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Prioritize food safety and sanitation, ensuring all products are fresh and dates are checked regularly.
• Maintain Food Safety certification and ensure compliance with all regulations and standards.
• Have excellent organizational and planning skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
• Be physically capable of lifting up to 75 lbs., and able to stand for long periods.
