Job Summary


Coordinates activities in the store to ensure goals and deadlines are communicated and met. Provides leadership to store management in planning, organization, control, and management at the store level. Manages daily store operations, including hiring, discipline, and scheduling of employees to ensure cost-effective and quality store operations. Ensures achievement of store objectives, completion of accounting and paperwork, cash receipts, pricing, and conducts physical inventories. This opportunity is for our Gates of Prosper location in Prosper, TX.


WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING


  1. Effectively manages and directs retail store activities to achieve optimal results.
  2. Approves supply expenditures and manages store expenses within budget.
  3. Prepares and reviews the leadership team schedule using the electronic scheduling system, including approving schedule changes for all employees and maintaining schedules in compliance with store policies and regulations.
  4. Performs store opening and closing activities, including financial processes and delegation of duties.
  5. Recruits, selects, onboard, evaluates, counsels, and trains team members, including seasonal staff, especially in the absence of the Assistant Store Manager.
  6. Addresses guest concerns that cannot be resolved by other team members, ensuring quick and effective resolution.
  7. Manages inventory processes, including cycle counting, adjustments, shipping, and receiving, and reports issues to the appropriate manager.
  8. Monitors compliance with company policies, reporting violations as needed.
  9. Delegates duties and responsibilities to team members and develops action plans for compliance and visual standards.
  10. Conducts regular store meetings and manages the annual inventory process.
  11. Develops and conducts performance evaluations, addressing performance issues promptly, and approves evaluations for associates.
  12. Communicates goals, sales plans, and performance metrics regularly with team members, monitoring results to meet or exceed targets.
  13. Provides leadership and training in customer service, product knowledge, visual merchandising, and store operations.
  14. Keeps management informed of product, guest, or personnel issues, and monitors product trends for communication to the team.
  15. Processes employee purchases, monitors returns, and approves guest returns per retail policies.
  16. Demonstrates strong communication skills, attention to detail, and organizational skills; capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
  17. Assumes duties of Assistant Manager when needed and builds effective relationships with stakeholders.
  18. Collaborates across teams to foster positive relationships and trust organization-wide.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED


  • Associate's Degree in a related field and three years of retail management experience or equivalent education/experience.
  • Knowledge of budgeting, inventory control, and visual presentation techniques.
  • Ability to direct retail activities to achieve results.

  • Ability to maintain a driving record meeting insurance requirements.
  • Pass a background check and drug screening before employment.
