General Function / Summary:

As a financial services leader, we strive to make a difference in our customers’ lives & the communities we serve. Our Store Managers are responsible for daily operations and profitability of one or more of our retail Check ‘N Go, Allied Cash, or Cash Store locations, all part of the CNG Holdings, Inc., family of companies. The Store Manager is responsible for site operations, sales, customer service, and store-level leadership.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Serve and educate customers on the product portfolio by presenting all options for products and/or services to meet their needs.
  2. Interact with customers using active listening skills to clarify information and diffuse complaints.
  3. Escalate unresolved issues to the District Director of Operations (DDO) and Corporate Office.
  4. Respond professionally to customer inquiries, applications, requests, sales, courtesy, and collection calls, in compliance with regulations and company policies.
  5. Handle cash, manage cash drawers, process deposits, and perform other cash handling duties.
  6. Balance receipts and sales reports daily, resolve discrepancies.
  7. Perform customer verifications.
  8. Process transactions accurately, including loans, check cashing, and Net Spend.
  9. Ensure compliance with federal, state regulations, and company policies.
  10. Complete required training and quarterly compliance commitments.
  11. Coordinate operations, staff training, and development to meet performance metrics.
  12. Maintain staff schedules and support coverage across stores within the district.
  13. Support staff to deliver excellent customer service and embody sales culture.
  14. Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and training of Assistant Store Managers.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of experience in sales, customer service, and cash handling.
  • Preferred: 1+ year supervisory experience.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and active listening skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and lead independently.
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and insurance required.
  • Willingness to uphold core values of accountability, inclusiveness, transparency, and focus.
Physical Demands:
  • Work in retail/office environment with extensive cash handling.
  • Extended periods of standing, computer use, and phone usage.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with accommodations.
Travel / Attendance:
  • Travel to stores within the district using personal vehicle.
  • Overnight travel may be required.
  • Must work scheduled shifts.
Supervisory Functions:
  • Potential on-site lead for Assistant Store Managers.
