Job description

As a Store Manager, you will empower your team to achieve outstanding operational results while delivering excellent customer service. Pittsburgh Paints Company is hiring a motivated Store Manager. You will report to the Operations Manager and work on-site 100% of the time in Houston, TX.

Key Responsibilities:

• Achieve sales and profit goals by controlling expenses, working capital, inventory, shrinkage, and growing net contribution.
• Ensure high standards of customer service are maintained.
• Resolve customer issues quickly and efficiently.
• Maintain high employee engagement through leadership, training, mentoring, motivating, and resolving associate issues.
• Understand the local market, operations-based selling, and customer base.
• Maintain the appearance of the store's exterior and interior, including merchandising displays, to required standards.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent with 1+ years of retail store experience.
• Knowledge of paint and sundries is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and internet applications.
• Flexible working hours, minimum 45 hours per week; valid driver's license required.
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds infrequently and 40-60 pounds daily.
• Consent to background checks, drug screening, and motor vehicle record checks.
