Job summary

Jockey International, Inc. in Albertville, MN is seeking an energetic Assistant Manager to lead in-store operations as the Manager on Duty (MOD). You will drive sales, coaching, training, and development of team members while ensuring top customer service and adherence to company standards.

This role emphasizes leadership, merchandising, and profitability through KPI monitoring, staff development, and effective execution of corporate programs, with a competitive hourly wage and benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School degree or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of retail management experience.
• Strong selling experience with ability to meet/exceed performance standards.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to attract, develop and retain strong talent.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Flexibility to work opening/closing shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
• Strong working knowledge of POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate leadership reflecting Jockey’s core values and culture.
• Establish positive relationships with co-workers and guests, ensuring high productivity and satisfaction.
• Lead and maintain accountability in guest service through training and coaching.
• Assist in recruiting, selecting and training store associates.
• Support onboarding, training and development of new hires.
• Lead store team through coaching to build a high-performance sales and management team.
• Review key performance metrics with staff to drive profitability and service.
• Maintain store standards including visuals, inventory, HR, policies and procedures; take corrective action as needed.
• Assist with corporate programs including Jockey Rewards.
• Assist merchandising of stock and visuals in adherence to standards.
• Ensure all company standards are met by employees.
• Perform opening/closing procedures and sales transactions.
• Protect cash, inventory and company assets according to policies.
• Other duties as assigned.
