About the Brand:
Oceanus is on a mission to redefine swimwear and empower women. Designed to turn heads, each piece evokes self-expression, helping women stand out and feel powerful. The brand exudes confidence through unique textures while prioritizing sustainability, with each piece made from recycled, eco-friendly materials and hand embroidered. Oceanus reflects the confident attitude of 80s glamour evening wear, which is a constant reference point for the brand.

About the Role:
We are seeking an innovative and dynamic Store Manager for our pop-up boutique powered by the Leap Platform, operating in Melrose from June to September 2025. As a local market expert, you’ll leverage community knowledge, build partnerships with neighboring stores, and utilize strong networking skills to drive client engagement and business growth. Your responsibilities include executing brand-led in-store activations, hosting influencers, increasing foot traffic, and delivering measurable results.

You will develop and implement sales strategies, elevate client interactions, and strengthen community connections to boost brand awareness. The Store Manager will recruit and develop top talent, fostering a high-performing team through strategic hiring, coaching, and mentorship. Clear communication of goals and expectations is essential for team alignment and collaboration.

Operational excellence is crucial. You’ll ensure store standards are maintained, overseeing cleanliness, visual merchandising, inventory management, and shipment processing. Success in this role requires thriving in a fast-paced environment, managing store opening and closing procedures, optimizing schedules, and maintaining payroll accuracy, all while dedicating yourself fully to the store’s success.

This position may involve supporting other Leap-powered stores within the same market, including new store launches, staff coverage, onboarding, and promotional events, reflecting our “One Team” mentality.

A commitment to continuous learning and adopting new technologies is essential. Familiarity with platforms such as Shopify, Endear, Slack, and Google Workspace is advantageous.

Position Requirements:
  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • Apparel expertise—preferably in swim or intimates—with experience in fitting room operations, delivering elevated client experiences, upselling, and managing high-volume retail environments while building customer relationships.
  • Proven leadership in building and developing talent at all levels within the store.
  • Operational skills in scheduling, payroll, visual merchandising, inventory, and shipments.
  • Availability for flexible hours, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk for extended periods, use a ladder, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Annual Pay Range: $70,000 to $80,000, based on experience and qualifications.

Interpersonal Skills:
  • People Leadership: Inspiring and empowering teams through coaching and mentoring.
  • Customer-Centric: Building authentic connections and delivering exceptional service.
  • Adaptable & Entrepreneurial: Staying nimble and problem-solving creatively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative: Building relationships and fostering feedback and team success.
  • Exceptional Communicator: Articulating ideas clearly and facilitating cross-functional collaboration.
  • Professionalism: Dependable and empathetic in handling customer interactions.
  • Brand Champion: Possessing deep product knowledge to enhance customer experiences.
  • Detail-Oriented: Ensuring high-quality, precise work.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
  • Employee Retention: Developing a supportive, growth-focused team environment.
  • Sales Performance: Achieving and exceeding sales goals through client engagement and strategic selling, reflected in metrics like Conversion Rate, UPT, and AOV.
  • Clienteling: Building long-term relationships with repeat customers and achieving high NPS scores.
  • Task Management: Prioritizing effectively to meet deadlines and goals.
