About the Role
As a Store Manager, you’ll be responsible for the total omni customer experience in your store, ensuring high visual and commercial standards according to the store format and regional strategies. You will lead the store team to excel, creating an inclusive culture that promotes collaboration and entrepreneurial spirit. You will analyze sales data, develop plans to optimize results and profits, and be aware of the store’s strengths and opportunities.


A Day in the Life
Working at H&M means no two days are the same, but typical responsibilities include:

Customer Sales & Profit

  • Ensure the total omni customer experience, including visual and commercial presentation, aligns with guidelines and strategies.
  • Represent the brand positively during all customer interactions.
  • Analyze sales and budget goals, creating plans to optimize results.
  • Provide excellent customer service and promote our loyalty app and sustainability initiatives.
  • Manage scheduling and store operations within budget.
  • Maintain routines for fitting rooms and checkout, and monitor store maintenance and competitor activities.

Fashion & Trend Awareness

  • Stay updated on fashion trends, styles, and competitors.
  • Ensure the team shares product knowledge and fashion insights with customers.

Team & Development

  • Manage talent acquisition, onboarding, performance, and development.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and succession planning.
  • Communicate effectively with the team and ensure all procedures are followed.
  • Participate in training and development activities.

Retail Operations/Visual & Commercial Execution

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing store environment.
  • Ensure stock levels and product presentation meet standards.
  • Oversee daily routines for opening, closing, and in-store services.
  • Manage price signage and store safety and health standards.
