Position Summary: The Store Manager embodies the values, aesthetic, and entrepreneurial spirit of the company and contributes strongly to a profitable and customer centric environment. They own the development and performance of the store team and inspire their team to deliver an exceptional experience. They oversee and are responsible for store sales, operations, client development, and merchandising to create a compelling customer experience. They are well connected to the surrounding community and are responsible for networking to increase awareness of Loeffler Randall in their market.

As this is a new store, the Store Manager will be responsible for leading the pre-opening activities in partnership with Store Operations and other HQ teams. They will lead recruiting, hiring, and training for all store roles.

Essential Functions

  • Meet and exceed sales and payroll goals
  • Create and foster productive customer relationships, and provide an approachable, inspiring, and personalized shopping experience that grows the customer relationship over time.
  • Act as a brand ambassador that reflects Loeffler Randall’s values and aesthetic across all platforms and touchpoints, creating a fully branded environment.
  • Build and grow an effective store team through recruiting, selecting, training, and developing employees.
  • Utilize key reporting tools to prioritize and create a strategy for consistent revenue growth.
  • Evaluate sales trends and provide insights and feedback to partners at HQ.
  • Consistently monitor inventory position and communicate priority products and needs to appropriate HQ teams.
  • Ensure store team is adequately trained on product knowledge for current collection, coordinating with HQ for any required resources.
  • Instill a service-oriented mindset amongst the team.
  • Embody an entrepreneurial spirit, taking firsthand customer feedback and translate it into strategy and action plans.
  • Plan and conduct consistent quarterly events in partnership with HQ teams to engage the local community.
  • Demonstrate and foster a highly customer focused environment, promptly and respectfully responding to customer concerns or needs.
  • Possess strong written, verbal, and decision-making skills.
  • Provide and document insights to HQ partners related to the customer experience, product performance and feedback, and store performance.
  • Develop store team through consistent coaching and feedback.
  • Lead by example to create a culture of action and accountability.
  • Monitor team member performance and provide clear and actionable feedback, taking partnership to manage performance when necessary.
  • Set vision and purpose to inspire store team to achieve store and company goals.
  • Create an optimized store team schedule that ensures adequate coverage to support the customer experience.
  • Maintain a clean and visually compelling store.
  • Uphold and train all store employees on store and loss prevention policies and procedures. Aid in the creation or modification of policies when needed.
  • Escalate any facilities concerns or issues in a timely manner and work to find a resolution in partnership with appropriate HQ partners and/or vendors.
  • Monitor team time and attendance and ensure compliance to the store’s schedule.
  • Maintain accurate inventory by following proper procedure and training store team in all applicable processes to ensure accuracy.

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of retail leadership experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience leading teams in a retail environment, driving performance to KPI and sales goals
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, able to work independently and effectively navigate ambiguity
  • Relates easily to a variety of personalities and easily establishes meaningful connections
  • Previous experience with CRM tools and managing client relationships
  • Experience with Shopify preferred
  • Styling experience is a plus

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (often 8 hours or more)
  • Frequent movement around the store, including bending, stooping, reaching, and crouching.
  • Ability to lift and carry items typically weighing up to 25-50 pounds
  • Maintain a high energy level; comfortable performing multi-faceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities
  • Regularly required to speak clearly and hear the spoken word as well
