About Loveski

Loveski is a “Jew-ish” deli rooted in California’s bounty, created by Chef Christopher Kostow and Martina Kostow. We are a fun, fast-paced, and relentlessly hospitable team serving craveable food with personality and precision. We take pride in our tight-knit culture and our dedication to excellence in everything we do.

Position Overview

The Store Manager is a hands-on leader who leads by example—ready to jump on the register, pitch in behind the counter, or reset a station in the middle of a rush. You'll be on the floor alongside your team while also managing day-to-day operations and administrative responsibilities.

As the face of the deli, you’ll drive service excellence, lead the team, manage labor and scheduling, and ensure smooth, efficient, and high-quality operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead from the floor: Actively participate in daily service; no shift should be beneath or beyond you.

  • Hospitality champion: Deliver warm, efficient service and maintain the high hospitality standards that define Loveski.

  • Labor management: Create and manage schedules, control labor costs, and balance financial goals with team morale and service quality.

  • Administrative oversight: Complete daily admin tasks, including scanning invoices, placing orders, managing inventory, and updating prep and production guides.

  • Team development: Train, coach, and support staff to excel in every station and role.

  • Operational standards: Maintain high standards of health, safety, cleanliness, and food quality.

  • Cross-team collaboration: Work closely with culinary and commissary teams to ensure consistency and product integrity.

  • Facilities & vendor coordination: Handle minor maintenance issues and manage vendor relationships as needed.

  • Communication: Keep the Operations team informed of store needs, team dynamics, and opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications
  • 2+ years of management experience in a fast-paced food service environment

  • Hands-on leadership style and willingness to work the register and assist on the floor

  • Strong knowledge of labor control, scheduling, and team development

  • Comfortable using admin systems for inventory, invoices, and internal communication

  • Highly organized, proactive, and calm under pressure

  • Positive attitude, strong leadership instincts, and a genuine love for hospitality

What We Offer
  • Competitive salary (based on experience)

  • Health benefits, paid time off, and generous dining discounts

  • Career growth opportunities in a fast-growing brand

  • A work culture that values hustle, humor, and heart
